Forex Broker Software Review - Spread Co

SpreadCo's new trading platform offers the full range of trading options, not just Forex currency trading. As with many recently designed platforms, the software is perhaps a bit more user friendly than some of its older competitors. Standard risk management options 'stop loss' and 'limit profit' are available, although you will need to place an order for these options, as they are not available through the 'Quick Trade Dialogue Box' which is for 'screen watching' day traders. Once a beginner has grasped the basics, OCO (one cancels the other) trades are available enabling new traders to start developing their own strategy.

Spreadco's SaturnTrader platform has all necessary information easily accessible from the main page. From the markets directory you can select one of the 17 major currency pairs, and you also have the facility to spreadbet, or trade in commodities - all are accessible from the same trading window. If you do wish to venture into these alternate markets, you need to check whether you have enough funds as the margin requirements for commodities and spread betting are different.

For Forex trading you can create a watchlist instead of having to access the currency pairs through the directory. For each currency pair there is an interactive graph which has a wide range of overlays available for the more experienced user. The downloadable version of the platform is superior to online version as it is customisable, however it is only available in windows format.

Trading tools include an economic calendar, user guides, and an online tutorial. Rss newsfeeds are available, and support is provided via telephone or web form submission. Minimum lot size with Spread Co is 10,000 units and leverage is fixed at 100:1. As their margin is calculated against the base currency there is no fixed minimum trade, it will equate to 1% of the total trade.

With a user friendly platform, and competitive spreads starting at 2 pips for the EUR/USD, Spread Co are a pretty good choice for anyone who wants delve into the Forex trading market, but don't forget to check out their demo first.
